Private Residence (Villa Monterey) in Rabat Vacancy Announcement: COOK OPEN TO: ALL INTERESTED CANDIDATES POSITION: Cook OPENING DATE: Wednesday, November 23, 2022 CLOSING DATE: Wednesday, December 07, 2022, or until filled WORK HOURS: Full-time, 48 hours/week SALARY: To be determined ++++++ A Residence in Rabat is seeking an individual for the position of Cook.   BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION: Plans menus, organizes the ingredients needed, and cooks meals according to recipes and/or tastes of the employer. Prepares and serves meals to the family and any guests. Prepares single-dish, to multi-course dishes and desserts for dinners and receptions. Prepares cookies, cakes, hors-d’oeuvres salads, meats (to include pork) as well as vegetarian entries etc. in advance and for unexpected guests. Prepares all fruits and vegetables for eating. Keeps the kitchen, pantries, kitchen cabinets, machines, utensils, ovens, pans, pots, floors, sinks, walls and counters in a perfect state of cleanliness. Performs any other assigned duties as requested. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: 1. Minimum three years’ experience as a Cook. 2. Ability to develop menu and price options for family dinners and invited guests. 3. Demonstrate willingness to work with employers to develop skills in a variety of international cuisines and have basic familiarity with wine such as quantity required for a dinner of eight and ability to open bottle. 4. Professional fluency in French, some knowledge of English preferred. 5. Legal proof of eligibility for employment (if non-Moroccan).
